The image depicts the interior of a large electric motor which has had the top half roughly sliced off with a cutting torch. The wires of the motor winding fray out from the stator slots and the rotor is gone, replaced with a white glass ball. The ball has a small hole somehow bored into the thickness of it and it seems hollow. The whole assemblage sits atop a mahogany square pedestal in the rough shape of a cube. The pedestal is carefully rounded over at the edges.
