The image depicts a wooden fountain at the edge of the sea. Within the square birdseye maple fountain lies a jet black square glass pool with mother-of-pearl abalone shells in repose. The water in the pool almost covers the shells but their smooth curves arc slightly above the water. Beside the fountain, the artist makes final adjustments to the finished installation. Below, we see the sea foam left on the sand by the last receding wave.
